Learn how to make your very own Super 8 films!
At Nectarella we LOVE Super 8! Lallita will be teaching these sessions. She has taught Super 8 filmmaking at the Northern Film School, Leeds College of Art, Leeds International Film Festival, HOME in Manchester, and the National Media Museum, as well as internationally. She has taught over 50 film workshops!
This is a 2 day comprehensive course, from the evening of Friday 26th - Sunday 28th April in the super picturesque Hebden Bridge!
On this course you will learn:
All about Super 8 film - what’s still available, and the meaning of all the numbers and notches and info on the cartridges!
How to shoot! - a variety of cameras and their various abilities.
Hand-processing - in a really cost-effective and DIY way, that anyone can do! We will also look at some eco processing options and how to do it all safely.
Hand-animation - inking and colouring and adding things to the film strip.
Projection - how to operate a projector!
Included in the price is 2 nights accommodation at IOU hostel in Hebden Bridge (self catering), right by the woods, and a truly wonderful nightly wood-fired Lithuanian sauna, which is right outside, operated by IGLU sauna! Complete with ice baths if you dare…!
We will have a soup for lunch on both days, provided, and of course plenty of tea and biscuits!
